Update via FTP Protocol (Typical)

  1. Start the COBRA Administration Manager.
  2. Choose the ‘File’ menu option.
  3. Select the ‘Update Software via Internet’ option.
  4. Choose the type of Internet connection you have.
  5. Click the ‘Next’ button.
  6. Wait for the files to be downloaded and then click ‘Next’ to proceed.
  7. If any Notifications where downloaded you can review them now or click ‘Next’ to choose which notifications to replace.
  8. Select the letters you would like to replace and then click ‘Next’ to continue.

Congratulations!  You are finished.  Click ‘Finish’ to re-start the COBRA Administration Manager Program.


Update when you have a Firewall.

Important: This information assumes that you are currently running version 20.x or higher. If you are running a version prior to version 20, please contact COBRA Solutions for assistance.

Please read these instruction in their entirety.

  • Be sure that no one is currently running the COBRA Administration Manager.
  • Find the application folder that the COBRA Administration Manager is installed too.
    • From your Desktop, right click on your COBRA Administration Manager shortcut and choose "Properties" from the menu list.
    • From the "Shortcut" tab, find the "Target" location and write it down (e.g. C:\COBRA).
    • Click the "Find Target" button or the "Open File Location" button and then minimize File Explorer.
  • Download the latest library file  and save it to the  COBRA Administration Manager application folder. (Found in step 2) 

Enter the "Firewall Code" provided in the COBRAinReview newsletter and then click the 'Go' button.

  •  Return to File Explore and extract the new library file to the  COBRA Administration Manager application folder.
    • Return to the folder you found in step 2 (The COBRA Administration Manager application folder.
    • Find the new library file that you downloaded from our website.  The file name wil start with lib and end with the zip file extension.
    • Unzip the library file directly into the COBRA Administration Manager application folder and overwrite all old files. 
  • Restart the COBRA Administration Manager and check for new notifications.
  • Select the 'Notifications' heading, select 'Check for Newer Letters' and click the 'Search' button.
  • Replace the old notifications with the newer ones found in the list.

Special Note To TPA's:  If newer letters are available, you will want to use the 'Copy Letters to Other Groups' feature found under Notifications to copy the newer letters to your other groups.


Update CAM via HTTPS Protocol

Important: You must be running version 20.x or higher to update your software via HTTPS.

Instructions:

  • Change your settings in the software.
  1. Click on the Help menu.
  2. Select Internet Settings.
  3. Change "Type of Internet Connection" from FTP to HTTPS.
  4. Click the OK button to save changes.
  • Start the Software update.
  1. Click on the File menu option.
  2. Sselect Update Software via Internet.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the update.

Note: to update via HTTPS you must have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed on your computer.
